Here is a sneak peek into what the UP state is up to while some of its fellows are away!

While all my fellow Upites and other migrant north Indians who are fortunate to be residing in the most amazing metropolitan cities and are busy in the hustle and bustle of their happening lives in their respective IT and related companies, there is a lot that’s happening back home as well! It's election time and the roads are full of banners, the FM channels are full of advertisements and the front page of the newspaper always has something or the other to say about a recent rally or a campaign by some or the other political party.
I have always been a little away from politics, in fact, even I have been a migrant for most of the years that I have lived till now so I never had an insight of what goes on in my own state. But now that I am back in Lucknow, willingly and or unwillingly I am surrounded by endless news on almost all the sources of information that you can think of about the upcoming elections, and trust me it has caught both my attention and interest. While the ruling party has endless sagas to say about the good works that have been done in the past five years, the opponents are leaving no stone unturned in pulling them down. Tired of FM while I tried to listen to some uninterrupted music on the ‘Saavan’ app we had one election advert per song there as well. Every party is trying to target a different section of the society and every party is trying to promise a different thing to the residents in order to win their hearts and votes. Some are pointing out on the safety issues of girls in the society, some on the farmer rights, while some have catchy campaigns which target the young and jobless and promise them growth and jobs. There are jingles and even songs by popular singers to get a leader, or a party and their work noticed. Advertisements aside by the sneak peek that they give us I have my detailed research that goes on separately about who has done what!

While the lotus continues to blossom, while the elephant continues to roar, while the cycle continues to run more and more and while the hand joins some other hands! Whom do you think are you supporting? If you still aren’t then my dear fellows take some time out, know the ones who are on the list to lead your state, decide whom you will support and come back home for a day to cast your valuable vote! Because, while you continue to turn milestones a few thousand kilometres away your state needs your help to choose a leader who does the same for many more people. And oops I completely forgot to mention... While you are here forget the pizza’s and pasta’s for a day and try tasting the Lucknow special tunde kawabs and desi kulfi I heard they have been tasting much better lately!

Ranveer Allahbadia is just the tip of the iceberg! #digitalworld

In a recent incident, popular podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia faced widespread criticism for making an inappropriate remark that was deemed unacceptable by many. Thank God for that, or else we are now a society where everything under the sun is rather normalised. I wouldn’t repeat the remark here, I can’t, it's out of my scope to write anything like that. Anyway, after that so-called remark on a show run by a popular comedian, Samay Raina was aired and shared, the internet was set on fire. I casually opened my Twitter on Sunday and was taken aback by the clip which was being circulated. It looked something like this: Some people, popular in the world of the internet sitting on a panel and roasting a contestant that stood in front of them. A highly vulgar remark was made by Ranveer, and the rest of the panel members along with the audience joined in laughter and applause. ‘Ah! Isn’t all this becoming rather common nowadays!’ was my first reaction, following which ...

A drive into the Himalayas

Well, the last week of December is as festive as it can get for anybody and everybody. It’s a week that calls for some year-end celebrations, get together’s and travel. I wanted to plan something for that week since eternity but my usual attitude to push every work till the last moment, made me plan absolutely nothing till almost the 20 th of December! It was on the 20 th that it struck me that we needed to book tickets to travel, and of course, we needed to book a hotel to stay. Various places within the country, including popular destinations like Goa, were packed and out of budget for us. There were two options that we were left with; 1) stay back home and crib 2) explore something that we never explored before. After a series of discussions, we came to a common conclusion to travel to Pokhara city in Nepal. I tried searching a lot to get some details about the roads, the recommended route etc but couldn’t get any detailed post and thus I was certain to post a blog on it. ...

Can we expect Real Growth, from Intelligence that’s Artificial?

Technology has changed so much around us in the past few years, isn’t it? From getting miraculously connected to each other through phones, we have grown multifold since the time mobiles were first introduced. Internet, international connectivity, google search, and social media, we seem to have travelled ahead at the speed of light. While many of us were still adapting to all of this, a big word- artificial intelligence started circulating. Intelligence and artificial, look like two opposite words that have been joined together , is what came to my mind when I first heard about it. Before I could know, this technology, now popular as AI had already infiltrated many apps and websites. Someone asked me if I use ChatGPT, and I got partially shocked to discover what it was. In between all this lately, there was another popular news that mentioned how an MIT graduate had invented a device that could read your mind. He mentioned how it could google questions within your mind and order a p...
