When the cosmos speaks, we all fail …

The streets are empty, the public places are shut, most offices have been locked down, and some countries are closed too. Most of us are confined to our four walls, some getting more creative and more aware of themselves, and most who are frustrated and bored and are just waiting for this pandemic to end.

We, humans, are the smartest of all species that exist on this planet. It’s us who rule the earth. By having invented most things that exist around us, to using nature at our convenience it’s us who decide the way everything functions. In the short lives that we live, we often forget that we aren’t as important as we think. We also forget that disturbing the harmony that exists around us for our convenience may cause greater harm in times that may follow after we cease to exist. But then nature has its own ways of reminding us the same, isn’t it? The existing coronavirus pandemic appears to one of them. One of the smallest existing entity on earth- a virus has reminded the ruler of earth- the humans, that when the cosmos speaks, we all fail!

There is still no concrete evidence about how this all started, but there is all the evidence to prove that the disease is sparing none. Be it the so-called elite class, or the common human who struggles to survive, no one is protected from the virus. Be it the developing nations or the countries who call themselves as a superpower the virus has taken all of them and us under the same umbrella. All of a sudden we have stopped fighting over other trivia’s like religion, caste, and other discriminations because it is now that we are seeing what a real problem is. From trying to list out different solutions to chanting their own mantras, every religion, has united today in praying for good health.

Of the multiple posts that we see on the internet every day about the pandemic, the most positive ones look like the ones which says that the earth is healing. I also read a post that said that the fishes and swans have returned in the Venice waters. Logically since most of us are home, even the pollution must have cut down. It’s wonderful to think about this positive side of the pandemic, but then don’t you think that with this we all should realize how important it is for us to start taking the environment more seriously. Many drives keep taking place around us, the anti-plastic ones, the ones which say to plant more trees, the ones to save water and the ones to keep our surroundings clean, in order to cut the multiple other diseases that can exist. But with the time that we are seeing today, each one of us should realize that all of this should be a part of our routine. We aren’t here forever, nature is. We will cease to exist sooner or later, the generation that we leave behind will.

This is also time to be more responsible for ourselves and for the people around us. So let us try finding better ways to spend a positive time at our homes instead of trying to run around in search of entertainment. With a hope that the pandemic will end soon, I wish you all and your loved ones the best of health till it exists.

Ranveer Allahbadia is just the tip of the iceberg! #digitalworld

In a recent incident, popular podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia faced widespread criticism for making an inappropriate remark that was deemed unacceptable by many. Thank God for that, or else we are now a society where everything under the sun is rather normalised. I wouldn’t repeat the remark here, I can’t, it's out of my scope to write anything like that. Anyway, after that so-called remark on a show run by a popular comedian, Samay Raina was aired and shared, the internet was set on fire. I casually opened my Twitter on Sunday and was taken aback by the clip which was being circulated. It looked something like this: Some people, popular in the world of the internet sitting on a panel and roasting a contestant that stood in front of them. A highly vulgar remark was made by Ranveer, and the rest of the panel members along with the audience joined in laughter and applause. ‘Ah! Isn’t all this becoming rather common nowadays!’ was my first reaction, following which ...

A drive into the Himalayas

Well, the last week of December is as festive as it can get for anybody and everybody. It’s a week that calls for some year-end celebrations, get together’s and travel. I wanted to plan something for that week since eternity but my usual attitude to push every work till the last moment, made me plan absolutely nothing till almost the 20 th of December! It was on the 20 th that it struck me that we needed to book tickets to travel, and of course, we needed to book a hotel to stay. Various places within the country, including popular destinations like Goa, were packed and out of budget for us. There were two options that we were left with; 1) stay back home and crib 2) explore something that we never explored before. After a series of discussions, we came to a common conclusion to travel to Pokhara city in Nepal. I tried searching a lot to get some details about the roads, the recommended route etc but couldn’t get any detailed post and thus I was certain to post a blog on it. ...

Can we expect Real Growth, from Intelligence that’s Artificial?

Technology has changed so much around us in the past few years, isn’t it? From getting miraculously connected to each other through phones, we have grown multifold since the time mobiles were first introduced. Internet, international connectivity, google search, and social media, we seem to have travelled ahead at the speed of light. While many of us were still adapting to all of this, a big word- artificial intelligence started circulating. Intelligence and artificial, look like two opposite words that have been joined together , is what came to my mind when I first heard about it. Before I could know, this technology, now popular as AI had already infiltrated many apps and websites. Someone asked me if I use ChatGPT, and I got partially shocked to discover what it was. In between all this lately, there was another popular news that mentioned how an MIT graduate had invented a device that could read your mind. He mentioned how it could google questions within your mind and order a p...
