The longer way or the easier way?

Everything around us has taken a huge turn in the past one decade, from love and connectivity to knowledge and wisdom we are quick in getting them all. The quick here is just a button or just a click away. Something more which has entered the list of getting it quick along with the other things is fame and success!
The good that has come with the quick way is that we have moved a lot ahead in terms of technology, we have opened the doors for many such things which were previously just a dream, but the bad is that we have become a lot more impatient for everything, we just don’t want to wait for anything at all. For instance, we are not bothered sending handwritten letters which may take a couple of days to reach someone, when the option to make a video call is now available! And sadly we are not bothered to wait and refine ourselves more, struggle more and learn more when fame followed by success is also just a click away? There is a big question that arises here; in today’s time are we investing enough in ourselves before giving ourselves and our work out to the society?

Back in time the media to present oneself to the world were lesser and the struggle was more, this used to force people to improve themselves in order to get noticed, in order to get fame and in order to be called successful. It is only the process of investing in oneself, practicing more and aiming to be perfect that can give the best in every field to the society. Today with the multiple channels available to showcase oneself, most of the times we are impatient to present ourselves to the outer world. The moment we know a little of anything we jump in putting it across to the audience, and at times we may even succeed in what we put up, we may get fame for our work and we may even end up setting a new standard. But what we present may be a much lesser portion of our complete potential and at times may not even do justice in terms of contribution to our field. In the process of trying to get things quicker, we may bring the standard of achievements down as well. We may end up setting the standards which should ideally be at 100% to a 70% a 50% and so on and so forth. In this process, we may ultimately bring the standards of our respective fields down. Because if the same fame and success which came after years of practice and a lot of hard work in one's field are attainable very easily over the internet today then will one bother to improve and invest more in work? Be it the hurry to showcase our musical or literary work to the audience or the hurry to share our knowledge as a professional we are ending up creating a vicious cycle of setting a new low in standards each day!
The advent of the internet has given us a huge platform to do anything that we want from wherever we are, it’s just a matter of one post and one upload and we can reach millions of people across the world within no time. When reaching out is an easy option in times today then let’s just use it rightfully by reaching out at the right time, with our 100% instead of jumping quickly into things.

We all are well aware that the deeper the foundation, the higher the building, why then the hurry to build ourselves without investing enough in ourselves. Let’s focus on learning more, practicing more and on making more mistakes before we become the contributors to our respective fields in our society. Let’s focus on doing such work which is engraved and taken reference of for years to come. Because in the end, it will never be about how early you attained your success, it will be about who came and became a true contributor to one's field!

Ranveer Allahbadia is just the tip of the iceberg! #digitalworld

In a recent incident, popular podcaster and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia faced widespread criticism for making an inappropriate remark that was deemed unacceptable by many. Thank God for that, or else we are now a society where everything under the sun is rather normalised. I wouldn’t repeat the remark here, I can’t, it's out of my scope to write anything like that. Anyway, after that so-called remark on a show run by a popular comedian, Samay Raina was aired and shared, the internet was set on fire. I casually opened my Twitter on Sunday and was taken aback by the clip which was being circulated. It looked something like this: Some people, popular in the world of the internet sitting on a panel and roasting a contestant that stood in front of them. A highly vulgar remark was made by Ranveer, and the rest of the panel members along with the audience joined in laughter and applause. ‘Ah! Isn’t all this becoming rather common nowadays!’ was my first reaction, following which ...

A drive into the Himalayas

Well, the last week of December is as festive as it can get for anybody and everybody. It’s a week that calls for some year-end celebrations, get together’s and travel. I wanted to plan something for that week since eternity but my usual attitude to push every work till the last moment, made me plan absolutely nothing till almost the 20 th of December! It was on the 20 th that it struck me that we needed to book tickets to travel, and of course, we needed to book a hotel to stay. Various places within the country, including popular destinations like Goa, were packed and out of budget for us. There were two options that we were left with; 1) stay back home and crib 2) explore something that we never explored before. After a series of discussions, we came to a common conclusion to travel to Pokhara city in Nepal. I tried searching a lot to get some details about the roads, the recommended route etc but couldn’t get any detailed post and thus I was certain to post a blog on it. ...

Can we expect Real Growth, from Intelligence that’s Artificial?

Technology has changed so much around us in the past few years, isn’t it? From getting miraculously connected to each other through phones, we have grown multifold since the time mobiles were first introduced. Internet, international connectivity, google search, and social media, we seem to have travelled ahead at the speed of light. While many of us were still adapting to all of this, a big word- artificial intelligence started circulating. Intelligence and artificial, look like two opposite words that have been joined together , is what came to my mind when I first heard about it. Before I could know, this technology, now popular as AI had already infiltrated many apps and websites. Someone asked me if I use ChatGPT, and I got partially shocked to discover what it was. In between all this lately, there was another popular news that mentioned how an MIT graduate had invented a device that could read your mind. He mentioned how it could google questions within your mind and order a p...
